"In the end, we only regret the chances we didn't take." -unknown
August of 2014
My daughter #persaeusdiaries and I moved from Honolulu to Oregon. This must've been the move of a lifetime for me. Its a huge stepping stone and i'm in the midst of knowing if it was the right move. 50% of me is screaming, "You did great;" while the other 50% is contemplating on running away. :( Yes, I know..How selfish and ignorant of me to decide so quickly whether or not it is the right thing to do.I must've jumped a few steps ahead in my story..sorry. Let me slow things down and introduce you to the source of my big leap of faith. In 2013 I discovered my pregnancy after 2 months of being pregnant... ooops to all the liquor that was abused within those months SMH however, the point of mentioning that is purely to show that it didn't affect my child one bit unless thats where she gets her HUNGER like no other from. lol she's truly many characters in one. After giving birth Oct. 20th 2013, my plan was set. I was going to move with my daughter to Oregon to be with her father as well as starting another milestone in our family story. He attends Western Oregon University (if you were wondering, "Why Oregon?" lol So, now that you're caught up thus far...shall i resume where i left off at? The rest shall be in a blog of its own :)
A month after I gave birth, a close family friend asked me if I wanted to work with her as a caregiver since I had experience in the medical field. I happily agreed and soon enough found work. I was breast feeding since giving birth so it was hard for me to make the decision to go back to work. Luckily for me, my boss and clients were extremely cool and allowed me to take some time out of my shift to pump and store milk for my child. The jobs ranged from $15-$20 / hr. I was too juiced to be able to provide for my daughter alone and to save money on the side for our new beginning in Oregon. Our plans finally came to light in june of 2014 when I booked my ticket along with my sister's ticket. My plan was to have her with us so that she could do all of my dirty work and walk up and down the airplane aisle with #persaeusdiaries while I chill and watch a show on the digiplayer. LOL a mother could only dream hehe, well it seems as though she has surprised us once again and instead of us caring for her...Asian passengers loved her and wanted to carry her up and down the aisle. I was stalking them the entire time...not to worry.
To cut that story short, we took a detour to Oakland CA. Arrived September 2014' where we met up with my baby'love and his side of the family. The rest shall be blogged separately (details are LIFE) ;)
